Westwell Manor Barn

The conversion of the existing barns involved the retention of the existing
masonry structure and upgrading their insulating performance with natural materials. Solar panels for water heating and space heating were incorporated, linked to a ground source heat pump, with a wind turbine exporting surplus electricity to the national grid. Solid timber floors and the formation of new windows at strategic points to enhance the natural lighting has created beautiful internal spaces which relate well to external courtyards.
